Alveolar (AMs), peritoneal (PMs) and liver macrophages (KCs) as well as bone marrow-derived monocytes (BDMs) from C57BL/6 mice were isolated and infected with Mtb H37Rv at an MOI of 1:2.5 (1 AM, PM, KC, BDMs and 2.5 Mtb). Intracellular CFUs were demonstrated 2 h and 5 days post-infection. Statistical analysis was performed with paired two-tailed t test and mean ± SDs are shown. p < 0.0003, p < 0.0001, p < 0.0015, ns: not significant.
