The diffraction pattern in a shows an evident tenfold symmetry, e.g., those marked by blue circles. Some features are marked in a demonstrating the scaling properties of the diffraction pattern by powers of τ = 1.618, as visualized by pentagons of varying size. Every other reciprocal lattice layer is systematically extinct in c, indicating the existence of a c-glide plane and, intrinsically, a 105 screw axis.
