Reactions were conducted with 11 (0.1 mmol, 1.0 equiv.), styrene (0.3 mmol, 3.0 equiv.), (terpy)Zn(CF2H)2 (0.08 mmol, 0.8 equiv.) and CuCl (30 mol%) in DMSO (0.4 mL). (terpy)Zn(CF2H)2 was formed in situ by pre-mixing (DMPU)2Zn(CF2H)2 and terpy in DMSO.
