Bacteria were grown for 16 h without L-arabinose induction to achieve amounts of Wzc similar to those from chromosomal copies. Uncropped gels with molecular weight markers are shown in Supplementary Fig. 10b. Experiments were performed in biological triplicate and were consistent, a representative experiment is shown.
