Flow of convalescent plasma units from the location of their collection to the location of treatment is depicted by lines connecting divisions of the US. The width of each line is proportional to the number of patients treated. The color of each line represents the US Census region from which the convalescent plasma was donated. Note that low rates of transfusions in the Middle Atlantic and New England divisions, which make up the Eastern region, are due to a combination of the analysis time window and the exclusion of mechanically ventilated patients.
