Reaction conditions: activated alkene 1 (0.2 mmol), alkyloxalyl chloride 2 (0.6 mmol), Ru(bpy)3Cl2 (2 mol %), 2,6-lutidine (0.3 mmol), anhydrous MeCN (4.0 mL), blue LEDs, 60 °C, 84 h, under N2 atmosphere. Isolated yields. The dr values were determined by 1H NMR analysis. aAlkyloxalyl chloride 2 (1.0 mmol). bDetermined by HPLC analysis.
