The bandwidth is minimized at θm, while being well separated from the remaining bands. The Chern numbers of the first two bands, \([{{{{{{{{\mathcal{C}}}}}}}}}_{K,1},{{{{{{{{\mathcal{C}}}}}}}}}_{K,2}]\), is shown before and after the ε23 gap closing at θ = θ1. For θ ≥ θ2, ε12 vanishes.
