The vertical dashed line indicates the median value of the effect sizes. The adjusting variables for newborns were maternal age, maternal smoking, maternal BMI before pregnancy, child sex, parity, and plate ID. The adjusting variables for fathers were paternal age, paternal smoking, and paternal BMI. The adjusting variables for mothers were maternal age, maternal smoking, maternal BMI before pregnancy, and parity. Source data are provided as a Source Data file.
