Schematic illustration of an integrated PPER-based notch filter, including an electro-optic modulator, a Brillouin-active suspended region (PPER device), and a detector. Other integrated components can include ring resonators, phase shifters, and directional couplers. In this example, the ‘emit' waveguide (upper waveguide in the Brillouin-active region) serves as the upper arm of the interferometer in Fig. 1 (see Supplement, Section 2).
