Although these are not directly comparable, both measurements provide valuable information about relative abundance. Each line represents one site. Its position on the Y-axis represents the relative proportion of oyster in the site and its length on the X-axis represents the estimated period of time that a site was occupied (X-axis). The midpoint symbol helps differentiate overlapping sites.
