Mutation rates are partitioned according to: a base-substitutions and indels; b the types of amino acid changes; and c for different classes of transitions or transversions. Mutation rates are calculated from n = 6 WT lineages or n = 7 mutant lineages. Box plots indicate median (middle line), 25th, 75th percentile (box), minimum, maximum (whiskers), and outliers (black points) as well as individual data points (open circles). Levels of statistical significance are indicated as *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01 (Wilcoxon rank sum test).
