The figure depicts protein predictors for late-stage AMD using a data-driven nonparametric bootstrap and LASSO regression analysis (see Methods section for more detail). On the left, we show 21 protein variables that appear in at least 80% of bootstrap iterations, while the mean estimates and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) are shown on the right. The percentage of iterations with non-zero coefficients for the protein variables is shown in parenthesis. Each center data point represents the mean beta-coefficient = log(odds ratio) with the 95% CIs as error bars.
