NEE is estimated by atmospheric inversions (a, d), DGVMs from the TRENDY project in simulation S2 (NEE output) (b, e), and FLUXCOM models (c, f). A positive sensitivity to TWS means drier conditions are correlated with more net carbon uptake, while a positive sensitivity to T means warmer conditions are correlated with less net carbon uptake.
