a The G5C decamer is a dimer of pentamers, with five TPR dimers bridging two pentamers. Full-length Gemin5 forms a homodecamer via G5C. b Multivalent interactions between G5C and stem-loop regions of mRNA enable high-order assembly of RNA‒protein complexes. These complexes might upregulate mRNA translation by enabling mRNA storage and preventing mRNA decay.
