Left hand plots: projections of the year when summer (July, August September) seasonal average sea surface temperature crosses the 28 °C limiting threshold (Tlim) for metabolic performance for ABFT juveniles under shared socioeconomic pathway scenarios. White space implies that water will not exceed 28 °C within the timeframe of projection (year 2100). Faster warming sees less ‘white’ space as a greater proportion of the total area exceeds 28 °C, particularly in later years of the simulation (lighter colours).
