Figure 7 shows standardized β coefficients with 95% confidence intervals based on ordinary least squares regressions with data from the Danish and German repeated cross-sectional surveys. All continuous predictors have been mean-centered and scaled by 1 standard deviation. The p-values have not been adjusted for multiple comparisons and are presented as follows: ***ptwo-tailed < 0.001; **ptwo-tailed < 0.01; *ptwo-tailed < 0.05. Exact p-values for all models are presented in the R-output which has been deposited on the Open Science Framework at: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/XD463. The gender variable refers to participants self-identified gender as presented to them in the surveys. Participants who did not identify as either male or female are not included in the analyses due to an insufficient number of observations.
