Amine-initiated polyesters with diverse microstructures make it easier to form various amine-ester complexes to induce red-to-NIR CL. Blue and dark-green balls represent ester units and amines, respectively. Blue, pink and red light around aggregates of balls represent the emission color of isolated ester groups, short-range and long-range complexes, respectively.
