af C57BL/6 J mice were subjected to sham operation or DMM surgery, IA-injected with vehicle (Veh) or 5-ASA (0.5, 1, and 2 mg/kg) for 8 weeks as shown in Fig. 5a, and sacrificed 9 weeks after the operation (n = 10 mice per each group). The joint tissues were subjected to immunohistochemistry for OSCAR (a), MMP3 (b), MMP13 (c), ADAMTS5 (d), ACAN (e), and COL2A1 (f) and the protein expression levels were quantified. Scale bar, 25 µm. The data are shown as mean ± s.e.m. (n = 5 for each group; nonparametric test). P-values were obtained by two-way ANOVA was performed followed by Sidak’s multiple comparisons test.
