Covering the past 15 million years, pCO2 calculations are based on the δ13C records of phytane (green circles), C37:2 and C37:3 alkenones (peach squares), and the weighted average of steranes (lavender triangle). Closed symbols represent Site 467, open symbols refer to additional sites. Error bars represent the one standard deviation based on Monte Carlo simulations that compound uncertainties for all input parameters.
