Parameters estimates are derived from the multilevel ALAAM. We have provided a detailed explanation for each network parameter (a-i) in Fig. 4. We present conditional log odds for the parameter estimates with 95% confidence intervals and highlight the statistically significant parameters in a darker colour. The model controlled for a range of baseline household- and regional-level attributes, as well as other network structural effects discussed in the Methods section. A positive parameter indicates that the observed, corresponding network configuration occurs more than we expect by chance, conditional on the rest of the estimated parameters in the model. Detailed parameter estimates, including all covariates are presented in Supplementary Table 6.
