Training runs comparing CDS (a) to FL (b), and ablation study showing impact of participating sites in the network (c). Runs using CDS (a) and FL (b) show fast convergence for both the classification and segmentation tasks. A federated warm-up was performed on the two largest sites first. These runs (c) show the influence of adding sites into the FL training network on the worst-case class prediction (Ependymoma) measured at 100 FL rounds, 150, 200, 250, and 300.
