To visualize the spatial distribution, we produced maps of the log density of herbarium and iNaturalist records (a) at 25 km2 resolution for Canadian vascular plants across Canada and the United States. These maps were combined to generate a map of sampling imbalance (b) where orange pixels indicate more herbarium records and green pixels indicate more iNaturalist records. The distribution of sampling imbalance is visualized next to the legend.
