Note that income quintiles are defined based on each specific region’s income distribution in year 2020, and therefore the global pool panel pools together households belonging to each quintile of different regions. The range of values in each boxplot are based on the projections calculated with the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) Global Climate Models (GCMs) enemble median (exluding ’hot models’62). Note: facets have specific y-axis ranges to better emphasize differences among scenarios. Supplementary Figs. 15–17 report quintile-level projections for additional scenarios.
