We generate broadband chaotic light via amplified spontaneous emission. By splitting and delaying the light beyond the coherence time of the source, we create four uncorrelated optical carrier signals. On each signal arm, we encode an input waveform which determines the noise distribution. A photonic crossbar array based on the non-volatile phase change material Germanium-Antimony-Telluride performs multiply and accumulate operations on the input states. At the output we demultiplex the broadband optical signal to independently sample from the output probability density functions (PDFs) in parallel.
