The heatmap represents the volume of the trait space impacted by mortality drivers over time. a Abiotic mortality drivers are: temperature anomaly, storm, pollution, an increase of turbidity, others, and their combination; b biotic mortality drivers are: disease, mucilage coverage, predator outbreak, others, and their combination; and c combination of both biotic and abiotic mortality drivers on the ecological trait volume. The trait volume space has been calculated for each mortality driver, as well as for overall mortality drivers over time and color-coded accordingly.
