These are based on prevalence rate estimates from the Malaria Atlas Project in 2–10 year olds (PfPR2-10) and the relationship between PfPR2-10 and incidence in children aged 0 to 2, obtained from the Imperial College malaria transmission model47,48. Incidence following a single SP dose was estimated using the 30-day protective efficacy shown in Fig. 6.
