As the forest grows, CO₂ is removed from the atmosphere. The net carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) effect is the net of CO₂ removal and albedo change. As shown, the albedo deduction is expected to reach its maximum effect before CO₂ removal reaches its maximum effect.
