Confocal images of xylem anatomy taken 10 days after grafting (DAG), 15 DAG, 20 DAG or 25 DAG. Plants were from (Fig. 1d) and grafting success was measured by the presence or absence of CFDA in scions after grafting. Xylem was stained with basic fuchsin. n = 4–6 plants per combination per replicate, 2 biological replicates. Scale bars, 100 µm.
