From: Polymicrobial periodontal disease triggers a wide radius of effect and unique virome
Eight polymicrobial infection sessions were carried out once per week from the 3rd to the 10th week. Oral swab samples were collected on the day before antibiotic treatment, the day before infection and at 1, 4, and 8 weeks following the initial infection. Blood and tissue specimen collection was performed at euthanasia following 8 weeks of infection.
