Sixteen medium- to high-quality MAGs (completeness >50% and contamination <10%) were included in the analysis. The functions of the MAGs in sulfate reduction were predicted according to the presence and/or absence of key genes for the pathway. A representative organization of dissimilatory sulfate reduction genes on the MAGs belonging to Acidobacteria and Deltaproteobacteria is displayed, respectively. Tree scale bar = 1.
