MCF-7 cells were treated with 500 nM tamoxifen or 25 nM fulvestrant for one hour prior to 4 Gy radiation and stained for β-galactosidase at 14 days post-RT. Quantification of cells positive for β-galactosidase was performed for MCF-7 (a) and T47D (c) cells. Representative images of β-galactosidase staining are shown for each cell line (b, d).
