The charge transfer across the interface is visible in having Bader charges larger (lower) than for the nominal oxidation state, i.e., 13 (14) in the SrMnO3 (LaMnO3) region. A more direct visualisation of the structure with respect to the layers numbering is provided in Fig. 1.
