The total DoS is given by the weighted average of the species-resolved curves, while the Fermi level is indicated by a grey, dashed line. The broad, sp-like band associated with Al can be seen running through and partially hybridising with the narrower 3d bands of the transition metals, as indicated by the local peaks in the species-resolved curve for Al.
