a The resonance curve for mode 2, from which the mode 2 natural frequency is obtained. b The resonance curve for mode 3, from which the mode 3 natural frequency is obtained. Amplitudes a2 and a3 correspond to the mean squared projection amplitudes of modes 2 and 3, respectively. The maximum of an as a function of frequency corresponds to the natural resonant frequency of that mode. Sample is 57.345 mg Inconel 625 at 1350 °C.
