The induced forces are shown in the left hemisphere of plotted sample. The forces shown demonstrate a heater-dominated magnetic field in which the largest forces are applied to the sample along its equator. The flow pattern given in the right hemisphere shows the heater-dominated flow pattern which results from the forces given on the left. This flow pattern features 2 recirculating loops in which the melt is driven into the interior of the sample at the equator and returns to the surface at the poles of the sample.
