All analysis are Spearman correlations. In A we display the association between mean diffusivity (MD) of the cingulate pathway and the volume of the NbM, B display the association between the MD of the external capsule pathway and the volume of the NbM, C display the association between the proportion of cholinergic WMSA in the frontal lobe with the volume of the NbM. Prior to analysis, NbM volume was adjusted for age and estimated intercranial volume, while MD in the cingulate and external capsule pathways as well as proportion of cholinergic WMSA in the frontal lobe were adjusted for age. WMSA, white matter signal abnormalities.
