Illustration of a pair-tunneling experiment. A tunnel junction separates two films S and S′. The temperature T is such that it is lower than the transition temperature Tc of the film S on the right and higher than the transition temperature \(T_c^\prime\) of the film S′ on the left. In this case, there will be an excess current associated with electron pairs from S tunneling to the fluctuating pairfield of S′
