  1. Liver egg granuloma size (μm2) and egg morphology (i.e., loss of internal structure, shrinkage, crenellated periphery) were assessed using Zen Blue software. Each independent experiment consisted of 6–10 granulomas per animal per group. Each experiment was performed twice. Data were shown as mean ± SEM.
  2. Statistical significance was determined by one-way ANOVA with Tukey’s multiple comparisons (*P < 0.05, ***P < 0.001, ****P < 0.0001).
