From: Maternal antibodies induced by a live attenuated vaccine protect neonatal mice from cytomegalovirus
BALB/c mice were infected i.p. with wt-MCMV or ΔM27-MCMV. At 7 and 21 dpi, serum samples were collected. Different dilutions of serum samples were incubated with MCMV:Luc for 90 min prior to infection of fibroblasts. At 24 h post-infection, cells were lysed and luciferase activity was measured. a Neutralizing capacity of serum samples collected at 7 dpi. b Neutralizing capacity of serum samples collected at 21 dpi.
