  1. The retrieval setup is identical aside from the inclusion or exclusion of opacity from water or methane. The results presented here do not consider the error-inflation parameter (the retrievals would be free to inflate errors until a χ2/Npoints value of 1 is reached). The models were fit to the phase-resolved spectra which each had 11 data points. The PLATON retrieval included 9 parameters. The SCARLET retrieval included 7 parameters for phases 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75, and 6 parameters for phase 0.0.
