Extended Data Table 1 Altitudes in Titan’s atmosphere probed by JWST NIRCam and Keck NIRC2

From: The atmosphere of Titan in late northern summer from JWST and Keck observations

  1. These were computed from consideration of the effective flux transmission Teff = e−1 at two emergent angles θe for several key filters. The altitudes in brackets (km) are those where the effective transmission Teff = 0.1 and Teff = 0.9, giving the threshold and the top altitudes (zlow and zhigh respectively) probed by the filter. This range shows the region where about 80% of the light flux is reflected to the observer or absorbed.
