Three-week-old C57BL/6 J male mice were administrated with free antibiotics or ampicillin (20 mg kg−1) and vancomycin (20 mg kg−1)-loaded nanoparticles for 5 successive days. Control mice had no antibiotics exposure. All mice were treated with HFD from age of 7 weeks.
