Simulation of the relative integral of bulk water as function of offset saturation (given in Hz, relative to the water reference) in presence of a semi-solid MT pool (at Gaussian line shape), by systematically varying T2,condensate (a), \({R}_{2,{\mathrm{H}}_2{\rm{O}}}\) (b), kex (= kMT,water + kwater,MT) (c) or PMT (d). Unless systematically varied as indicated, parameters for simulation were: T2,condensate = 8μs, \({R}_{2,{\mathrm{H}}_2{\rm{O}}}\) = 5 s−1, kMT,water = 150 s−1, kwater,MT = 0.15, Pcondensate = 0.1%, B1 = 1000 Hz, R1,water = 0.2 s−1.
