a Multi-parameter global fitting of the MT effect of 0.5% (w/v) agarose assuming super-Lorentzian line shape (left) or Gaussian line shape (right) for the semi-solid agarose meshwork. Resulting physical parameters of the agarose meshwork are given in each panel. b Multi-parameter global fitting of the MT effect of biphasic (5′-CAG-3′)31 (150 μM, at 50 mM MgCl2) in presence of 0.5% (w/v) agarose, comparing a super-Lorentzian line shape (left) or a Gaussian line shape (right) of the semi-solid condensate. Physical parameters of the agarose meshwork were held constant during fitting according to previous quantification of the agarose (shown in a). a and b: Experimental data are shown as scatter plot, fit prediction for each offset saturation amplitude is given as dashed line. Parameter errors were estimated from the diagonal elements of the variance-covariance matrix resulting from fitting experimental data to the CONDENSE-MT model. Fit deviation indicates overall deviation of experimental datapoints from the model prediction after computational optimization.
