Assuming that there are 12 independent estimates in the year then the uncertainty on the annual average Canth transport is 0.135 Pg C yr−1/(12)1/2 = 0.039 Pg C yr−1. Assuming there are 102 independent estimates across the full 8.5-year time-series then the uncertainty on the full time-series average Canth transport is 0.135 Pg C yr−1/(102)1/2 = 0.013 Pg C yr−1.
