Author Correction: The measurement of partisan sorting for 180 million voters

Correction to: Nature Human Behaviour https://doi.org/10.1038/s41562-021-01066-z, published online 8 March 2021.

In the version of the Supplementary Information initially published with this article, in the paragraph on page 4 beginning “The geographic prior is constructed by…,” in three instances detailing the subset of voters used in the imputation, the clarifying phrase “casting votes in 2016” was missing and is now included. Additionally, the two equations on page 4 describing the posterior probability of being Democrat or Independent had the wrong numerators, originally reading “Pr(X_i|R_i)P_r(Rc)” and now amended to read “P_r(X_i|D_i)P_r(D_c)” and “P_r(X_i|I_i)Pr(I_c)” for Democrat and Independent, respectively. The code for implementing these calculations in the original was correct and remains unchanged. The updates have been made in the Supplementary Information accompanying the HTML version of the article.
