The dots represent society-level means and are labelled by country ISO code 3 (Supplementary Table 35). CYP-N indicates the Turkish Cypriot community, and CYP-S indicates the Greek Cypriot community. The shaded area indicates the 95% CI. Societal mean perceived normative honour value (referred to as societal-level honour) was significantly and positively associated with competition (H1a: β = 0.07, P = 0.027) and, surprisingly, also cooperation behaviour (β = 0.08, P = 0.013).
