The distribution of the length of time multiple lineages colonised the same host in one of 59 multiple carriage events where the same lineages were observed in consecutive samples. Multiple colonisation events that were only observed at a single time point are excluded from this analysis. The median and interquartile range is given by the horizontal lines with the whiskers indicating the largest and smallest values excluding those outside 1.5 times the interquartile range.
