The semi-quantitative method is described in the methods. For the histology slides, we selected two representative mice out of the 6 mice based on the plaque assay data (Fig. 7B). The dotted black line represents pathology score = 0. Data are mean ± s.d. N = 2 independent animals for each treatment group. 3 slides per animal were examined.
