Protein-based phylogeny of 128 IAPs from Ca. Endonucleobacter’, Endozoicomonas, Kistimonas, metazoans and viruses. Sequences were aligned with MAFFT, the tree calculated with IQ-TREE and branch support (1,000 replicates) calculated with both SH-aLRT and UFBoot tree. Bootstrap values ≥80 are shown. The scale bar indicates substitutions per site. Colours indicate taxonomic groups. Insects and their virus IAPs were included to root the tree.
